Cobb Galleria Area

The Cobb Galleria area of metro Atlanta is an exciting destination in one of the nation's fastest-growing counties: Cobb County. Located northwest of Atlanta just inside the I-285 Perimeter near I-75, the area is home to the Cobb Galleria Centre, a nationally-recognized convention center. The 88-acre Cobb Galleria complex also includes the Galleria Specialty Mall, where visitors will find upscale shops, boutiques and eateries. Nearby is the Cumberland Mall, which is connected to the Cobb Galleria Centre via a pedestrian skybridge. The recently-renovated mall is anchored by retail giants Sears, Macy's and Costco Wholesale and features a food court as well as an outdoor plaza. One of the newest attractions in the Cobb Galleria area is the Cobb Energy Centre, which opened its doors in late 2007. The metro Atlanta performing arts center showcases Broadway shows, concerts and other live performances. The Atlanta Opera makes its home there. Other well-known names located in Cobb Galleria Atlanta area include Lockheed Martin, The Weather Channel, IBM, Home Depot and such attractions as Six Flags Over Georgia and the Six Flags White Water waterpark.
